Job Summary

Alga Microwave Inc. is currently seeking a qualified, experienced Business Development and Marketing Consultant for a full time position in our head office in Montreal, QC, Canada.​ The successful candidate must be motivated and possess a personality capable of working and managing in a fast paced work environment.​

Duties will include market research, promotion of products, research on high tech specialized equipment, parts, materials and business services, assistance to engineers with parts needed and management team with innovative ways of decreasing price of products by providing modern part management decisions. The successful candidate will work with international partners: with suppliers to find the best deals on parts and technologies and clients in order to achieve success on the international market.

Position requires ability to travel, often on short notice; have experience visiting countries, traveling in non touristic zones; openness for other cultures and mentalities, experience in cross-cultural exposure and international research projects.

 

Additional duties may include attending trade shows, representation of company’s interests abroad. This person must be experienced in electronic parts and sales, detail oriented, a problem solver with superior customer service skills.​

 

 

 

Qualified applicants must have the following qualifications:

 

Education:

  • Technical Diploma in High-Tech technologies/Electronics/Telecommunications
  • College/University Diploma in Business/Commerce or related field

 

Work Experience:

  • Electronic parts management;

·        Marketing;

·        Sales;

  • Intercultural communication and customer service

 

Special skills:

  • The position requires knowledge of English, Russian and Italian due to the high potential on the market in the countries where these languages are spoken.
  • Well-developed PC skill level, including MS Windows 2000/XP and Office Suite
  • Valid international drivers license
  • Good organization
  • Record keeping
  • Communication and time management
  • Self-motivated and able to grasp new technologies

 

 

 

Other Info

 

Annual remuneration TBD payable bi-weekly is offered for the first year contract with a future re-assignment option. The successful candidate will be entitle for a 2 weeks paid vacation per annum and, after 6 month probation period, participation in the company health plan.
